South Asian Feminism in a World of Conflict: Confronting Resurgent Patriarchies/ Nationalisms/ Fundamentalisms in Theory & Practice – Tamil (2007)


A two-day international conference was organized with the help of MATCH International and India- Sri Lanka Foundation on November, 30th and December, 01st 2007.

The first day theme was 'Literary Expressions of Feminists Concepts'. Dr. Selvy Thiruchandran delivered the key not speech. Out of four papers presented, three were by India. The first session of the first day was presided by Dr. Selvy Thiruchandran and the second session was presided by Ms. Padma Somakanthan.

The second day theme was 'Feminism and Social Change'. The first session of the second day was presided by Prof. Sitralega Maunaguru and the second session was presided by Dr. Ananthay.
