South Asia Network Building against Trafficking (2005)


A project to implement the SAARc convention against trafficking in women and children for prostitution in the SAARC region through effective lobbying and advocacy was entrusted to WERC to be done in Sri Lanka. This project was funded by SAIR/EQUITY and was supported by the Centre for Social Research (CSR) in New Delhi.

WERC conducted the first national level consultation with certain Ministry representatives, NGO representatives, 3 CSR representatives and a SAIR/EQUITY representative in December.
